Technical details

Required processing: 
Non ground points filtered out thanks to the lasground tool from LAStools suite (rapidlasso GmbH). Gaps filled in by interpolation.
Data requirements: 

A Digital Surface Model and possibly the type of landscape (urban, peri-urban, mountainous).

Description

Detailed georeferenced data of the altitude excluding off-terrain objects.

Why using remote sensors?: 

A Digital Terrain Model allows to better understand the battle scene, and to better organize the logistics associated with a demining campaign (trafficability, needs for terrain preparation, etc.).
