Normalised Digital Surface Model

General info
1/25 000 to 1/1 500
Spatial resolution:
10 to 0.1m
Required processing:
The normalised Digital Surface Model results from the difference between the Digital Surface Model and the Digital Terrain Model.
Data requirements:

A Digital Surface Model and a Digital Terrain Model.

A normalised Digital Surface Model, result of the difference of the Surface and Terrain Models, highlights off-terrain objects.

Why using remote sensors?:

A normalised Digital Surface Model highlights objects relatively to the ground (buildings, trees, ...) or ground objects (flat areas, roads, ...). A single elevation threshold enables their detection.
